Bouillon Batignolles — A Little Paris Trip in Hollerich

Luxembourg just got itself a new neighbour with very French ambitions.
Bouillon Batignolles has landed in Hollerich, right next to Come à La Maison, bringing with it metro plaques, nostalgic music, and that unmistakable brasserie energy that makes you feel like you’ve suddenly taken a detour to Paris — minus the TGV.

The concept comes from France, where their first restaurant opened in 2022 in Metz. Since day one, customers kept saying the same thing: “It feels like Paris.”
And honestly? It does. From the décor to the playlist, everything is designed to give you that instant “bouillon” vibe: casual, generous, bustling, charmingly chaotic in all the right ways.

They chose Hollerich for their Luxembourg address and, if their numbers in France are any indication — around 1,300 guests every weekend — the city might need to prepare itself. The house philosophy is simple: good food, classic dishes, and accessible prices.
And yes, “accessible prices” and “Luxembourg” rarely exist in the same sentence, but here it genuinely works.

The Lunch

We started with the demi-Camembert gratiné with truffle (€9.80) — bubbling, rich, and unapologetically indulgent. Exactly the kind of dish you secretly hope no one at the table wants to share.

For the main, I went for the Toulouse sausage with purée (€9.90).
I swapped the regular purée for the truffle purée (+€5.50) — and honestly, worth every cent.
A dish with zero pretension and full comfort. Perfectly seasoned, hearty, and served in the portion size you expect from a bouillon: generous enough to make you reconsider dessert… but not for long.

Speaking of dessert, I tried to be reasonable and chose the pistachio ice cream (€7.80). The others did not.
Their chou (€4.80) and baba (€8.90) arrived like absolute divas — tall, fluffy, dramatic, and smelling dangerously inviting. Bouillon-style desserts don’t do moderation.

Why It Works

Bouillon Batignolles hits a sweet spot that Luxembourg doesn’t always manage: authentic French comfort food, big portions, and prices that don’t hurt.
It’s casual, it’s warm, it’s busy in the fun way — the kind of place where people actually look happy to be eating.

They’re also open 7/7, with lunch and dinner service (not non-stop), another little French luxury we don’t talk about enough.

If you’re craving something comforting, familiar, and just a little Parisian, this is a very solid new address to add to your list in Hollerich.
