๐Ÿ“ Come ร  la Maison โ€“ La Tavolata (Abruzzo Edition)

La Tavolata is back at Come ร  la Maison โ€” and honestly, itโ€™s one of the most joyful dining formats in Luxembourg.
One long table, everyone sharing the same regional menu, one fixed price. It started with the opening of the restaurant, paused during Covid, and now itโ€™s finally back as a monthly ritual.

This edition celebrated Abruzzo, a region close to my heart. Iโ€™m technically from Marche, right on that border โ€” and with a grandmother from Nereto, these flavors felt like home.

We kicked off with a cocktail inspired by an Americano, made with genziana, Montepulciano, and absinthe โ€” bitter, bold, and the perfect way to set the tone.

Then came a generous wave of starters:

  • Pallotte cacio e ova โ€“ soft cheese and egg balls, pure comfort
  • Ventricina โ€“ spicy salami with real personality
  • Salsicce sottโ€™olio โ€“ rustic, tender, full of flavor
  • Peperoni & eggs โ€“ simple, homey, and surprisingly addictive

Next up, scrippelle โ€˜mbusse: thin crepes rolled in broth. A humble dish that quietly warms both heart and belly.

The main course was all about arrosticini, fresh off the grill โ€” juicy, smoky, and dangerously easy to keep eating. If you know, you know.

We closed with a dessert buffet filled with classic Abruzzo sweets โ€” the kind of spread where your diet politely steps aside.

Live music added to the atmosphere, giving the room that friendly, slightly chaotic Italian energy. Perfect if you enjoy sharing a table (and a few laughs) with new people.

Price is all-inclusive, food is generous, and you leave happy โ€” thatโ€™s the whole point of La Tavolata.
