Last week I had the pleasure of being invited to Sip & Sound, a refined and charming evening hosted at Hôtel Le Place d’Armes in Luxembourg City. This special experience blends live music, signature cocktails, and exquisite dining, all set within one of the city’s most iconic locations.

Whether you’re looking for a relaxed date night or simply a reason to treat yourself midweek, Sip & Sound offers an elegant escape that feels both intimate and unforgettable.

🕕 The Evening Begins at Le 18

The night kicks off at 6 PM at Le 18 bar, one of my personal favorites in Luxembourg. With its cozy courtyard and moody speakeasy atmosphere, it’s the kind of place where you instantly feel tucked away from the buzz of the city.

We were welcomed with live music from a talented acoustic duo, creating the perfect backdrop as we sipped on cocktails. My go-to? Always a Dirty Martini—and theirs didn’t disappoint.

🎶 From Cocktails to Cuisine

At around 7:45 PM, the music transitioned to Plëss restaurant, where our table overlooked Place d’Armes. Despite the cloudy skies, the ambiance—enhanced by the live performance—felt almost cinematic.

🍽️ A Dinner to Remember

I started with the veal tartare, which was delicately seasoned and incredibly fresh. For the main, I had the rack of lamb—beautifully cooked, aromatic, and full of herby depth. The plating was elegant, and the portions were generous—something I always appreciate in fine dining.
