Last Saturday, Clara and I went to the very first family brunch at Ceruzzi.
Let me start with a small confession: I’m not a brunch person.
I usually find brunches chaotic, overpriced, or simply not relaxing enough to really enjoy them.
But this one surprised me — and it’s definitely the kind of brunch I’d go back to.
The food: Italian variety done properly
This is not the usual “brunch buffet”.
The focus here is clearly on Italian food and variety, with dishes that actually make sense together.
Think pancetta, fresh fish cous cous, panzerotti, cheese, grilled vegetables, truffle risotto, and other Italian specialities. There’s plenty of choice, the quality is there, and everyone at the table can find something they genuinely enjoy.
Why it really works for families
What made the real difference for me is how well thought out this brunch is for parents.
Ceruzzi has a dedicated open room for kids, with toys and space to play. I asked for a table just next to it, so Clara could go in and out freely while I kept an eye on her. She played happily, unsupervised, and I could actually sit down, eat and relax.
During brunch, they also organize activities for kids.
Last Saturday there was a pizza workshop, and Clara had an absolute blast. She was entertained, involved, and very proud of her pizza skills — which makes the whole experience easier (and more enjoyable) for everyone.
The atmosphere
The atmosphere is chic and elegant, but still genuinely kid-friendly.
It’s one of those rare places that manage to combine a stylish setting with a relaxed family vibe, without either side feeling out of place.
Practical info
- Family brunch every Saturday
- €49 per adult (buffet)
Final thoughts
I’m still not a brunch lover — but this one changed my mind.
Good Italian food, real variety, a setup that actually works for kids, and an atmosphere where adults can enjoy themselves too.
If you’re a parent looking for a brunch that doesn’t feel stressful, this one is worth trying.
