@leqdanslebeurre is tucked away in a quiet corner of Bonnevoie, and it immediately catches your eye with its bold, unapologetically unique aesthetic. This is not your typical trendy bistro—and that’s exactly what makes it such a breath of fresh air.

With vintage furniture, cozy lighting, and whimsical pig-themed details scattered throughout—on cushions, statues, stickers, and even in the restrooms—the place exudes character, humour, and a lived-in charm that feels intentional and refreshingly different.

🍽️ The Concept

There’s a clear point of view here: bold, generous, honest food that prioritizes flavour over frills. It’s not trying to cater to every palate—it’s simply trying to do what it does well. And it does.

🥚 Starters to Share

We began with a few shared starters: the terrine, the tartine de pied de cochon, and the deviled eggs. The tartine was my personal favourite—rich and satisfying—with the beautiful house-made pickles on the side adding a perfect touch of brightness and acidity.

🐖 Mains That Steal the Show

For the main course, we shared the roasted porcelet shoulder (made for two) and their elevated vol-au-vent with tartufata and ris de veau. The porcelet was perfectly roasted—tender, deeply flavoured, and indulgent without feeling too heavy.

The dishes came accompanied by a well-seasoned salad, homemade fries, and absolutely divine butter-sautéed potatoes—my personal favourite side of the evening. I would 100% order the porcelet again.

🍰 The Grand Finale

Even though we were full, dessert was non-negotiable. We chose the baba au rhum, and it did not disappoint—soft, boozy, and served with a cream so good it deserves an award of its own.

🍷 Wine & Atmosphere

The wine list is thoughtful and solid, with a nice selection that includes a few local options. Pricing is fair and matches the quality of the food. The service still has a few rough edges, which is normal for a newly opened spot, but the overall atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming.

Le Q dans Le Beurre is not for light appetites or cautious eaters—it’s bold, unapologetic, and focused on flavour. It’s a place to indulge, to enjoy, and to slow down over rich food and good wine with friends. The kind of spot that sticks in your memory for all the right reasons.
