Max + Moritz, Luxembourg City

I decided to start the year in one of my beloved places.
If you have been following my blog for a while, you probably remember Max and Moritz used to be my HQ when I lived in Belair.

Now, this is like meeting again an old boyfriend which you shared ups and downs and suddenly you had that feeling in the stomach.

My feeling in the stomach was quickly relieved by one of the best Porn Star Martini in town, which I paired which a selection of tapas.

Max and Moritz has a great offer of grilled meat as well as vegetarian mains, but I do love their tapas much more than anything and if you also are for the “sharing is caring”, this is the place you need to visit.

Now, I was with Mr, hence I had to avoid a lot of good things they have on the menu (like oysters, also baked, and tartares) but that you are highly advised to try.

On our side, the “safe for Mr” tapas we ordered were equally delicious. Starting from the truffle coquettes, which are, for me, one of the signature of Max and Moritz, the truffle mini burgers, the Harissa burrata and finally, the shrimps rolls. These are probably new, or I am guilty of not having seen them before, and I think they are competing now as my favorite rolls in Luxembourg.

They were just mouth-watering: filled the right size, bread toasted enough for not having the rolls collapsing at the first bite, still soft and tasty.

I also had a coffee gourmand to close but Mr was so in a rush to jump into my Bayles creme brulet that I did not have time to picture it. Just imagine then, this is also worth trying.

Finally. Every time I go back I feel sorry I don’t visit Max and Moritz more often, as food is constantly amazing as well as the cocktails. So I promise myself I will need to be back very soon.
